Comp problem...Loading a program

I was given a copy of Word Perfect from my brother (he works for microsoft) full version with all the bells and whistles.
He gave me a utilities cd with a bunch of things on it. which loaded fine all I had to do was put it into the cd tray, right clicked, and an install option was available.
Unfortunately with the word perfect cd the “install” option doesn’t come up.
Can some one tell me how to load this onto my computer?
Also, he gave me Windows Office 2000 –Pro Version- (I have no fuggen idea what this is btw) but it tells me I have to uninstall a similar program to get it loaded. Would this be the Microsoft stuff the comp shop loaded when I bought my antique? (Word/Excell etc)

PS!!
Please make it kinda a step by step, as I’m VERY computer dumb.

#1. Word Perfect is a Corel Product, not a Microsoft Product. Are you sure it is not "word for windows"?

#2. Open My Computer, right click on the drive the disk is in, click on explore, double click on setup

#3. If the answer to #1 is Word for Windows, don't install it, install Microsoft Office instead. You can install several products that are definitely on the disc (outlook, word, excel, powerpoint) and others that may be included (visio [is now microsoft] and access).

Your right it's corel WordPerfect Suite 8.0
(I only mentioned the fact my bro works for Bill so ya wouldn't think it was a bootleg copy. He can get me any program I want, not that I know how to use most of them.)
Word is what I have now, and JoAnn wanted WordPerfect.

I have never been a fan of Wordperfect but if thats what you need KCWolfman's #2 point should do the trick. If you have a hookup on MS software id suggest office 2003. I just got it a few weeks ago and really like the version of word it includes. The read layout is very handy.
