Madden 2005 -- funny stuff...
I decided to start a franchise in Madden with the Chiefs and instead of playing the games for the first (2004) season, I would sim them to mimic what has happened in real life.

Right now, I'm starting week 4 at 0-3 and here's a couple of gems.

Chris Bober and Jason Dunn are demanding playing time or a trade.

But these are the funniest:

I checked my Advisors screen and amongst other things, they're saying "The sports radio shows are ripping the team new one" and "We've got cap room. Now's not the time to be frugal."

A freaking video game is smart enough to figure it out, but the braintrust at 1 Arrowhead Drive isn't?

What are you talking about, roy? I have a PS2 that I bought a little over a year ago. Had to replace the original one after my 2year old daughter knocked it onto the floor. No problems with it.

They've discovered a flaw in the big PS2's, and that theres alot of people who's PS2's are messing up in a year to 2. So get the new ones, they are suppose to be better from what i heard.

I mean why would they come out with a new PS2 if the other ones were fine, right ?

I would get the smaller one before yours breaks. Theres alot of Civil Lawsuits out on them on people who are wanting there money back and im about to join it.

Cause theres no excuse for mine not to work after 2 years, and i've got alot of friends whos are doin the same.

Do you have any proof of this or are you going by rumors? I've not heard of this. However, one thing I do know is that prople were having problems with the laser lens and they were able to send it to Sony to be repaired for free. But that would take seveal weeks so you'd have no PS2 for several weeks.

The good news is that I may be gettin a new ps2 for free from my sisters boyfriend cause he's gonna get a XBOX and could have it as soon as tomorrow.

The first run of PS2's had an underpowered laser. That was easy to fix by adjusting the trim pots for the output...but that was on the very FIRST run.

FYI, the first run of XBox's have similar problems - they came with crappy Thompson DVD drives that need to be replaced.
