Lone Survivor

Most of you have probably seen a trailer or two for this, if you ask me it looks pretty bad ass... the true story of a four man SEAL team tasked with taking out a top Al Qaeda leader in Afghanistan... anyone looking forward to it? I sure am, these kinda guys inspire heap big man crush in me.

Solid cast with Wahlberg, Bana, Ben Foster and Emile Hirsch... though i'm not sure I can buy Hirsch as a SEAL, we'll see...

Will of the Warrior on HBO.
I saw the same show. Incredible, is all I can say.

I believe it. He has the look of someone that you don’t want to get crossways with and it's not just that he's a big guy. He's got crazy eyes, like he's already got you sized up and wouldn’t hesitate to kill you on the spot.

Heh, yeah he even gets a bit chippy with that female interviewer over a few of the questions, any perceived lack of understanding/slight and he's right on it.

It's was an okay movie. Every war movie is the same to me, they are becoming repetitive. "Please tell my wife that I love her very much"......"You're not going to die, stay with me". It's all the same, don't let the ending convince that it was a terrific movie, because it wasn't.

Hmm, I'll take that under advisement... but the thing about a movie like this compared to fictional ones is that the action and dialogue is as close to the exact truth as the author of the book can remember or legally tell.

Thats what I think will set it apart for me, we'll see.

If you go in with that mindset, then you'll love it. The ending was very hard to watch without tearing up, but the movie as a whole was just generic. I don't watch war movies too much because they're all the same to me. The wifey just has this thing for Marky Mark.

I wouldn't have killed them, but to just let them go was idiotic. If you're not going to tie them go trees at least tie them together so it takes a while for them to get back to their village.

If anyone should have been killed it was the older kid, not the young kid or the old man.
