I get pissed, and stay pissed for about a week, after I drop north of $100 on 2 pairs of ****ing Levi's.

I love the story of my BIL, who spends an obscene amount of coin on clothing, he told me; he was at a nice bar/sushi place in JoCo at happy hour. he was, of course, immaculately dressed. he approached 2 girls and started chatting them up while standing around the bar. it was crowded, and someone while passing by their group, accidentally bumped into one of the gals he was talking to. she spill a tiny bit of her drink on the front of his shirt.

long story short (too late), he said he wasnt' able to get the stain out. so his nice $120 shirt was toast.

one hundred............and twenty dollars.

...

...for Cotton.

I'd spend that much on a pair of boots.

Yeah... $1200 worth of clothing right there: Billy Reid Bond peacoat in charcoal ($695), Gant Rugger red slub flannel shirt ($135), Gant Rugger slim fit broken twill khaki pant ($175), Red Wing Heritage Beckman boot in Cigar ($340). || #billyreid #gantrugger #gant #redwing #redwingheritage
eBay is the way to go dude.

I don't know how it is where you guys are from, but I can go to the thrift stores in rich ass neighborhoods down here and hit some unimaginable scores. I'm talking brand new high dollar shit for $5.

We have an amazing thrift store scene but that's because
College kids here know what they're doing. You have to be dedicated as hell to find true treasures before someone picks them first.

I had never heard of him - but it'd appear he's local but yet does work throughout the nation - much like Atlanta's Bill Hallman.

I actually like the cut and softness (at least they look to be soft) of Reid's gear.

I want to get the man a grown up pea coat for Christmas. But he'd freak out on me if I spent $700 on a coat for him.

Any suggestions on anything hovering around maybe half that?

I don't dig buttons on collars, and can get behind a red button down with a black coat/brown boot combo. Nice pieces individually, but I wouldn't wear them together.

$175 for khakis is obscene, btw.
