Oh hooray even MORE Samuel L. I can never get enough of him and I haven't already gone way past the point of being oversaturated by his same character in every ****ing movie/tv show/ commercial/airplane banner performances. Said nobody ever

Saw it. Good, but lesser Tarantino, on par with Death Proof.

Loved the Cinematography and Ennio Morricone score though.

Time for QT to move away from Spaghetti Westerns and overuse of the 'N word'

Yea.. thats one qualm I had about it.

I am actually helping out some friends at the moment.. letting them stay with me for free while they get back on there feet etc. Well, its an interracial couple, and the girl is SUPER SUPER sensitive (see almost SJWish) about everything, and even more so about N. Well, she wanted to watch the movie as bad as the rest of us but you could tell she was mad that they where saying it so much.. it made it a bit awkward.. us 3 white folks sitting there watching a movie with a sensitive black girl while they drop N every 5th word.

No, it wasn't billed in the ads, but it was mentioned in the trade papers quite a while back. I'd forgotten about it myself until I saw his name in the opening credits.

Someone went to a QT movie and is disturbed by the use of the N word? Did you not know it was coming?

Oh I certainly knew it would, that Tarantino. And I THINK she did too.. but man.. if you havent seen it.. it is the most uttered word in the movie by far lol. It was overused.

And, she gets mega butthurt about everything really. She didnt actually SAY anything, but you could tell she was uncomfortable. She is one of those people who thinks it should be illegal to hurt peoples feelings.

I dont really care, but it was awkward becuase I think she expected us to care.. and we didnt really care.

Ya know, I have never had a problem with him using the word in the least bit, but in this movie it was used so much that it was distracting . When I think to myself during the show about how overused it keeps being said, then it's just taking away from being engrossed in the experience and the story.
Django didn't bother me, and not one other of his films have I ever had a criticism of his content or language.
Like I said, it just felt forced. Like if every time I said anything to you I would use your full name every instance.

Hello, Bob Smith.
How are you doing, Bob Smith?
We sure are having lovely weather, Bob Smith.
That's a nice sweater, Bob Smith.

You can obviously substitute Bob Smith.
After a while, it starts to drag on the dialogue.

Not offended by much of anything.

But It was a very mean spirited movie.

Constant beating of women, N Word insults, Etc.

Yes, it's QT, but it was excessive IMO

Yep pretty much exactly this. Django it was used without being overused. Distracting is a great way to put it. It was just a TON.

hmmm

It felt overused in Django. Can't be that much more, can it?

Loved this movie!! Ennio Morricone...the score is bone chilling. Amazing cinematography and the signature outstanding dialogue and character interaction expected from Taratino.

Loved his score as well! Yes, sort of reminded me of his scores from Untouchables mixed with The Thing
