Shoveling snow and drifts
I thought I would get round one of shoveling out of the way so I thought I would pose this question for the board. The wind is coming out of the north and I can only shovel snow to the north or the south since my driveway runs east/west; should I shovel the snow to the north or the south to prevent really big drifts from forming on my driveway?
Thanks, Fat E |

Assuming he lives in KC, that would be the correct answer.

Man I've been thinking this shit for a while. How about flame thrower snow plows? Think about it....I don't get why they can't just attach giant flame throwers to the front of snow plows. I mean overall it may cost a bit more financially to do so, but it would make things a hell of a lot easier...and then smaller ones could be given out to all the residents so that they can clear their driveways and sidewalks with ease also. How has no one thought of this?

Best answer:
Let the sun melt it away later. Shovel enough to have a path to get out of your house. Anything more is just showing off. |

South. A large pile to the north will break the wind, causing any snow that it is carrying to fall right into your driveway.

Thank you. That is what I thought, but I was wondering if shoveling it to the south would cause a buildup making the snow fall behind the pile rather than over it.
