Sure. But people moreso slam him for obvious headlines and repetitive angles. Well, sports are pretty obvious and repetitive. I can't really fault him for any of that.

It'll be nice if his replacement can elevate the work on a sentence level, though, for sure.

That's true. He didn't have to be McCormick and Schmick, but he couldn't even rise to the level of LJS.

I look down on anyone whose professional title is "writer," when that person is bad at writing. Call it a pet peeve.

If the guy is not leaving town and still writing about the Chiefs all of the time I would guess that a lot of his stuff will still be read by folks here. We might even have threads about something he writes.

Yet another reason why I gave up on that field. Teicher sucked and yet I could never in 30 years get to where he was at the Star.

i can remember years ago on 610, teicher said to the extent "i am not a fan of the kansas city chiefs".
while i understand that he has to be partial, seems like he went bland and boring instead.
just kind of seemed sad to me, to be honest.

He probably walked into the KC Star office and showed them his union card, then produced his Democratic Party lifetime achievement award, and oh yah, bragged to the star people about how he is the president of the National Obama Fan Club. Then he took a dump on the American Flag and burned it in the trash can for good measure.
