I really don't like the idea of trading conditional future picks.

We did it for Wellbourne, and it's biting us in the ass now.
Trading for a guard who we're going to turn into a tackle is different than trading for a young player out of the draft who some consider to be the best player in the draft regardless of position.

ditto that. I Keep reading that he covers RECIEVERS as well as most safties and some CB's.

Why can't the draft just be here? I'm tired of watching assumption mocks on the draft and it's probable gonna be completely different. It was nice talking about it but im so excited I want to see what the chiefs do I'm actually driving two hours back to olathe just to watch it with my dad!

I agree.

I've come to the conclusion that we need to do one of the 3 things at WSLB:

1) Give in and start Fox.

2) Sign Anthony Simmons.

3) Trade up and get Derrick Johnson.

When I say I don't like the idea of trading future picks, it's referencing the idea being discussed of sending this year's fourth, and a conditional '06 pick for Surtain.

But regardless of who the trade might involve, the fact is that if we hadn't traded a conditional pick for Wellbourne, that turned into this years 3rd, we would have that pick to trade strait up for Surtain.

I don't want to be put in a position next year similiar to the one we are in now.

I'm going to add a #4 after listening to all of the Ourlads, PFW, and Scouts Inc. guys yesterday:

4) Draft Thomas Davis. It sounds like he may be the 2nd-coming of Derrick Brooks.
