Never heard of Chad Hall until the 1st quarter..... Think Avery is fairly important to this offense .... Too bad Baldwin never panned out

I wonder if Cleveland are still shopping Gordon.

I seriously doubt it after the last few weeks they've had, but ya never know.

And when Avery went out Hall took his place.. I have no idea why they aren't trying to use Hemmingway more. I think Dorsey/Reid are obsessed with small/fast type of receivers.. Smith needs a big target on the outside who can go up and get it and has reliable hands.. Nope that isn't Bowe.

I do remember Bowe in his first few seasons making some great jumping over the CB catches in the end zone. While we are on the subject of Bowe, That out of bounds call on Bowe when he had a Beeline to the end zone was a bit suspect to me. Bowe should have carried on regardless to the end zone and Andy should have challenged, don't know if that is possible and they would have upheld the TD but still, Bowe ain't really himself. Getting double teamed must suck when you have a bit of talent but with his talent he should be getting on the end more.

He just seems lazy and unfocused/unmotivated. It seems like he's down on not being targeted that much and when they do go to him, he makes derpy mistakes like dropping easy passes or stepping out of bounds like that which makes Alex lose even more confidence in him and look at him even less. I think Andy+the refs blew that play BUT I have to place most of the blame on Bowe.. all by himself after the corner fell down--stepping out of bounds shouldn't even have been an issue.

Bowe stopped because the whistle blew and the refs called the play dead. There was nothing to challenge once the play was whistled over.

Bowe just isn't good enough for Alex.

He's made a career out of making chicken salad out of chicken shit with the play from amazing QBs like Huard, Croyle, Cassel, Palko and Quinn.

But he's just not good enough for the likes of Alex Smith.

Can't be trusted.

Does anyone else think Albert is declining? He is getting penalties every game. His run blocking is great but, his pass blocking seems to be on the decline. Maybe he is injured?

Scroll down to #214.

Inbetween his catches (13) and his targets (24) are his drops. What is that number?

I think he's fine. If you ask me, he's never really been a #1. I think they knew they overpaid and I also think Dorsey knew what he was getting.

Not saying I agree with the guy, but Bowe had two drops against the Eagles. If I remember correctly, the first two passes of the game went to Bowe and he dropped them both. He had defenders draped over his back but a big-body possession receiver like him needs to make those grabs.
