I get the sense the fanbase will not let that happen.

They could offer McDaniels an offensive position to give the QB perspective on the field -- Whoever he may be.

Honestly if the new coach fails Pioli is gone. If he wants to hang his job on McDaniels I'm okay with it. Maybe having someone you have chemistry with will make a difference.

McDaniels means Cassel in all likelyhood. That is the first reason and the only reason I need to say no to him. The stuff about him coaching doesn't even need to be mentioned.
