This is the team that trotted out the likes of Doug Mientkiewicz, Ross Gload and Mike Jacobs at 1B/DH before Hosmer came along.

The prospect of Bruce Chen being the #4 or #5 starter next year makes me very happy...almost has happy as the fact Bruce Chen was our opening day starter made me sad. Very sad.

No. My guess is that they're looking at Christian Colon as that guy, but Getz for now. Gio just can't seem to get there. The defense just has to improve.

Thanks. Not sure what Go Johnny Go Go's problem is. I wonder if he's a headcase or something. His fielding does look like it could deteriorate at a rapid pace. I don't see a whole lot of confidence in him out in the field, and he doesn't have the best tools defensively

he's not really a headcase, you said it yourself at the end: he was never blessed with the talent to be a good defensive 2B. His bat always needed to carry him, and so far its not.
