Tamba comes off the field Sat....

after making a great play Hicks rushes right over to meet him on the bench. I'm screaming at the TV.... "stay the _uck away from Hicks!" I'm not sure if he was trying to "coach" the rookie, or was asking for advice. Wife is looking at me like I'm crazy, (which is pretty much true). I guess Hicks just wanted to make an appearance on TV when he wasn't out of position?

Anybody else see that?

His base salary on the nflpa website is 2.1 million as jspchief mentioned. I can't believe that he has 2.3 million in bonuses and (reachable) incentives beyond that. It probably was his caphit; he's under contract until '09.

Maybe he had a tiered bonus somewhere in there. Salaries can be proven from the NFLPA dadtabase, and bonuses are ball-parked from info the agent leaks, but no one really knows how those bonuses are structured.

All I know is he's get a 2.1 base. If he got a roster bonus we likely paid it in March, so it can't be saved by cutting him now. However, claering up the 2 mil in base has to count for something.

One thing is certain, if he makes the team this year, it will be his last. Personally, I think Wilkerson has shown enough that Hicks is expendable even as a backup.

It's quite simple, unless Carlos Hall can get, and STAY, healthy, Hicks will be on this roster...

Yeah, the mind may be willing, but the body isn't able to perform. That could be Hick's issue now. Afterall, he has been in the league several years...

I have to agree with this. The sooner we cut loose the frayed Pieces parts of DV's configuration, the better.
