Read thru all replies. Did not see Laurel Canyon. Absolutely a sleeper in I believe late 2002 or early 2003 with Christian Bale, Kate Beckinsale, Frances McDormand, and Alessandro Nivola. Great flick! Hilarious ending!

"Body Heat"- 1982(?) Rented it years ago just to see Kathleen Turner's titties, but the story really drew me in. She owned William Hurt in this one, in more ways than one.

Hell, I reviewed that for my high school newspaper. The teacher edited out my comments about her getting pounded in the ass.

Another good movie with an evile bitch villain is Romeo Is Bleeding, with Gary Oldman and Lena Olin. Excellent, moody and twisted.
