Early Afternoon Bullshit: Who's planning to attend the playoff game?

Granted, nothing is set in stone yet as far as positioning is concerned, but who's thinking of making a trip to see the Wild Card game?

Per cdcox, we're around 96% to end up the 5th seed, and Indy is 88% to finish as the 4th seed. I've already booked a room in both Indy and Cincinnati, just to make sure I'm covered - and to get something booked before prices rise even further.

After doing some research, you can plan on spending a pretty penny in Indy - downtown hotels are obnoxiously expensive - $150 and up for Saturday night. Only way to stay cheap is to stay 6-7 miles away out by the airport and drive in on gameday. Cincinnati is cheaper, but downtown options are pretty limited.

So - who's going?

You were pretty lucky then.

Myself, BRC, Grandllama, StevieRay and some others were harassed, spit on, beer dumped on us, food thrown at us, etc. And some of that was BEFORE the game.

We had planned on sticking around after the game, but the 3-4 block walk to the bar didn't go so well, so we took a cab back to the tailgate spot and then the hotel. Watched the night game in the hotel bar.

I have a room booked at the Comfort Suites right next to LOS, and at the Hyatt Regency.

Don't have the details with me, but both came to around $140-$150 with tax.

Best price I could find within walking distance.

Did you try the Town Suites or Holiday Inn Express, both are right next to the stadium?

If you are at the Hyatt Regency it's perfect. You can go from the hotel to the ball park without having to go outside...there are covered walkways the whole way to the park.

If you come in on Friday before the game, let me know we can meet up for dinner. My office is in the PNC Bank Building which is attached to the Hyatt.

There are some pretty decent places to eat downtown and some pricey not-worth-it places also.

Wow. The most annoying experience I had was actually a "mister nice guy" sitting in our section who wanted to give me high fives when the Colts did something good. To which, of course, I left him hanging. I'm a good sport, but pardon me if I don't actually celebrate the downfall of my team.

I'm about 90% sure that I will if it's @ Cincinnati or Indianapolis. One of my best friends lives in Cincinnati and has use of a suite for the Bengals games, otherwise his sister happens to live in Indianapolis, so I think I have my bases covered for those 2 spots.

Regarding the hotels right next to LOS:

HI Express was booked.

Staybridge Suites wants $198 a night.

Booked at Comfort Suites for $139.

Can't go wrong with Comfort or Hyatt.....surprised at Staybridge, they aren't that much better than the rest of the hotels that they should charge that much.

The only downside to being at the Comfort Suites is that you aren't really near some of the better downtown places.

I've been to our last three - Ravens, @Indy, Indy - and that's not stopping me.

As a fan of this franchise, when you have a chance to go to a playoff game, you should go - you never know when you'll get that opportunity again.

What is it, about an 8 hour drive or so from Kansas City to Indianapolis?

In the NFL, does the host team in a playoff game reserve or set aside some seats for fans from the visiting team like they do in college or are the tickets strictly first come, first served? Not that I'm going, I'm in South Carolina and will watch comfortably on TV. Just curious.
