Actually, I give him props for sticking it to the Bronco's in the end.

He was trying to force his hand to land with Kubiak in Houston. He wanted to leave with a big "**** you". Trading his rights to Tampa essentially called his bluff and left him with no other options, plus he'll have to pay back a big chunk of his contract. In short, Denver said, "No sir, **** yooooooooooou".

How can you call his bluff if he wasn't bluffing? The guy actually retired, so he didn't bluff at all. Don't try to spin this in favor of the Donks. They look like a bunch of idiots with this deal.

We just got a 7th round pick for a guy who said he is never going to play a down again in the NFL. And now he won't.

Enjoy the mountains Jake. Make that check out to the Broncos whenever you have a minute.

The Bucs own his rights for three years. That's what they traded for. I'm sure they are wheeling and dealing right now to try and set up a trade to Houston that will convince Plummer to come out of retirement.

What you folks apparently don't understand is that Jake retiring like this is actually the best case scenario for us. The trade with Tampa was contingent on Jake playing. Since he's retiring, we now can go after the remaining signing bonus that he didn't play up to. That's going to be a pretty hefty chunk of cap room due back to us for next season that we wouldn't have otherwise been able to recover.

Bullshit. The best case scenario was that he played ball and you got a 4th rounder for him. Eat it.

Pretty much my opinion as well, though his retirement is also favorable for the Donks. Just not as favorable.
