Now, if Mahomes becomes as good as many including myself think he could be, it's a whole new level for the Chiefs. The offense could become something it hasn't been in nearly 15 years.
I honestly dont see our guys being quite as dynamic as Atlantas duo

But what our guys lack in explosiveness, they should be be able to make up for with with a grinding, wear you down, kill the clock style... provided Ehingers return is the cure for what ailed us last year

What Alex Smith brings this year, I have no clue... tempted to expect the same old shit because thats how he has mostly played for his entire career

But maybe, just maybe, the writing on the wall spurs him to reach outside of himself and he tries to MAKE plays for once... 'good' Smiff can approach dynamic, we'll see

The pressure will either make him wilt, or make him show off

If he decides to grab his balls, we could have a great year

BS.

Nobody seriously wants Mahomes playing this season. They are just sick of Smith and don't want another season of his check downs, but truth be told I haven't seen more than a poster or two who actually want Mahomes out there this season at all.

All people are saying is that Mahomes is very likely to be ready by 2018. Nobody is saying they know exactly how long it will take Mahomes, only that Tiger is full of shit and making his 2-year prediction because he loves Alex.

That's it. It could be two years. It could be one year. However long it takes.
I didn't read this before making my last post.

But yeah. This.

Nobody wants him to play this season, but he will be under center in 2018.

And with the shortage of QBs in this league, I could see someone trading us something for Smith just to avoid a bidding war for him in the case that we cut him.

Seriously.....The QB talent in the league is terrible.

I don't want him to sit. I want him coming in with the mindset to win the starting QB position this fall. I don't want him coming in satisfied that he will not play for a full year and maybe more. Screw that.

Again, I think Mahomes starts in 2018... but people that act like this 2 yr development theory is wildly crazed Smith-love? Those people are probably basing their thinking through the lens of their Smith hate.
Have you EVER seen a QB taken in the top 10 sit for two years??

EVER???

Have you ever seen draftniks not know what the **** they are talking about???
I remember them saying Carson Wentz needed to sit a year..

Now think rationally for a minute and ask yourself if they will sit Mahomes for TWO seasons??

Sure you want him in that mindset, but there is no way that him sitting could hurt.

On the other hand, serious damage can be done by putting him out there too early.

I don't know how many rookie QBs drafted top 10 that were selected while teams had a QB already in place with a 41-20 record.

Again and again.. I expect Mahomes to start next yr. Just saying that it's not about Alex-love or crazy to think 2 years.

If you put a young QB out there with a crappy team around him, sure. But this team is all back on offense... and not crappy.

He is not competing against Joe Montana either.

Thankfully for Alex, his defense and special teams singlehandly put a number of those in the W column.

Things will unfold as they should.

Trust me when I tell you that the Chiefs are riding an absolute lightning bolt of perfection right now. A few elements will have to be corrected and/or swept away, but this franchise has declared its independence from mediocrity and has boldly turned one of the last remaining corners on its way to that place where the Elite hold court.

agree, except for the "single-handedness" stupidity that highlights your extreme ignorance of what team sports actually are.
