Where do we go from here?

First off, rush end and CB/DB were needs. The playoff loss to the Colts showed how much these were needs. While one can argue individual players or positions at the given spots, both Ford and Gaines are solid picks when they were made and both players have high upside in the system based on their measurables as well as production in college.

As it stands, the offensive line and wide receiver position seem to be the biggest glaring needs remaining for the team. Branden Albert, Jon Asamoah and Geoff Schwartz - all starters on the offensive line last season - are gone, as is starting slot receiver Dexter McCluster, who was the teams third leading receiver behind Charles and Bowe.

Offensive Line:

Offensive Tackle:

Most likely, Albert's vacated position will be filled by last years overall #1 selection Eric Fisher and RT will be manned by Don Stephenson.

As it stands, the only other OT listed on the Chiefs roster is R.J. Dill, a 6'7", 315 lb. one year player out of Rutgers. Colin Kelly, a 6'5", 298 lb. rookie from Oregon State is listed as OL.

If you don't think getting quality depth at this position is a priority, your and idiot.

Best options remaining in the 2014 Draft:

Cameron Fleming, OT; Stanford
- The starting right tackle for the Cardinals was projected as a potential 2nd rounder by a lot of pundits. Huge, powerful but pretty agile, he could stay on the right side of the line or move into the guard position, which might be his best position at the next level. Three year starter at RT with numerous first team All-conference awards; Freshman All-American. Pretty talented dude and has a lot of upside. Majored in aeronautics and astronautics. Pretty shocked he's still on the board.

Matt Patchan, OT; Boston College
- Dorsey is all about the measurables and, to a relatively high degree, production. Injury history doesn't seem to concern him too much as he's picked guys like Knile Davis and Phil Gaines (wrist and foot injuries in college). Patchan is a measurables monster who has an equally impressive injury history. He also can play OT and was 2nd team All-Conference in his first and only full season playing college football. He was a top five OL coming out of high school and has everything you could want in a potential high level NFL OT.

Offensive Guard:

The Chiefs lost two guys who started in Geoff Schwartz and Jon Asamoah. They have been replaced by former Colts Jeff Linkenbach. Starting LG Jeff Allen has struggled. (However, he does have a great work ethic and has talent.) Rokevious Watkins, Rishaw Johnson, Ricky Henry and Chandler Burden are your remaining options. Yeah...inspiring, I know.

Best options in the 2014 Draft:

Cyril Richardson, OL; Baylor
- Forget the Senior Bowl. Seriously. For his entire college career, Richardson has absolutely destroyed fools. First Team All American. First team All Conference at both LT and LG. Huge, powerful and nasty. Is effective pulling and getting to the second level. Projects to RG at the next level and guess what the Chiefs need?

David Yankey, OL; Stanford
- Like Richardson, he's a standout at two positions (won the Morris trophy (given to the Pac 10's best offensive lineman) and was a First Team All American at LT) and was a unanimous First Team All Everything in 2013 by everybody who publishes a list. Strong, smart and savvy. Like Richardson, the "lack of athleticism" bullshit is getting major overplay and, like Richardson, he's an absolute steal at this point.

Dakota Dozier, OL; Furman
- First team FCS. Raw as sushi, but plays with passion and drive. Would be a project. Doesn't have very good feet and would most likely be a better center prospect than anything.

Wide Receivers:

Nothing pisses me off more than Donnie Avery. Runs bad routes. Has cinder blocks for hands. Wears a goofy, loose long sleeve shirt. AJ Jenkins - who freaking knows who this guy is. Right now, he's a less experienced Donnie Avery, which basically pisses me off even more than Donnie Avery. Hemingway is a special teams guy who can't beat out Avery. Dressler is McCluster. Bowe runs bad routes, can't catch, lacks passion (drag the foot Dwayne), and gets caught with weed. This position sucks ass for the Chiefs. If they don't draft this spot today, there will be some pissed off drafturbators.

Best options remaining in the draft:

Bruce Ellington, Robert Herron and Mike Campanaro
- Fast, good hands, tough as nails. Protos for the slot.

Martavis Bryant, Brandon Coleman and Jeff Janis
- Huge, tall receivers that possess excellent long field speed. Potential red zone threats

Devin Street and Mike Davis
- Marquis Lee clones. Very good deep field receivers, have return experience and has good size. Have the skills to develop into a legit #1 WR at the next level.

Jared Abbrederis and Cody Hoffman
- Immensely productive college receivers who lack explosiveness (burst, jump). Big, physical, muscular players who are excellent route runners, willing blockers, great hands. Smart guys who should be very good WR's in a West Coast system.

I'd also be happy with Trevor Reilly or Christian Jones starting opposite DJ at ILB.

For me it would be AJ McCarron or Christian Jones or even TJ Jones in round 5. I think those are the best values.
