Why the Chiefs need Cowher...

No Super Bowl winning coach has ever won the Super Bowl again with a different team. We know this.

We also know the NFL is fixed.

There wouldn't be a bigger story line in the NFL next year than if the Chiefs, who haven't drafted a QB since Todd Blackledge, were to win the Super Bowl, making Cowher, who has been in the broadcast booth, the first coach to win it all with 2 different teams.

Make it happen, Roger!

Hell, look at Pitts. He's working with one of the best in the game, and Big Rape is bitching about play calls after last week's loss. Then we get the fake apology this week...

I don't believe that Haley's background allows him the chance to control the respect of the locker room, and this week's events are a small window into this facet. But, by all means, let's continue to absolve this worthless piece of shit of all blame.

Pioli! Cassel! Blah, blah, blah. Haley sucks shit, too.
It's a flip flop to shit on Romeo and 2gap defense, then blame haley for not winning with Romeo.

It's a flip flop to join a crusade against cassel, point to the obvious correlation between franchise qbs and wins, then blame a head coach for not winning with cassel even now knowing that haley lobbied against him.

Finally, its a flip flop to shit on every pioli pick and bitch about his personnel moves. Talk about what an egomaniacal prick he was. About how he and hunt refused to spend money to better the team. Then claim a coach should win in spite of that.

You have been with a group that claims a qb is vital and that our qb blows. That a gm needs to provide a team with talent and has failed miserably. That our defense is obsolete. You're right on all those fronts. But it's ridiculous that you think a coach should win without talent or a qb.

There are bigger problems in pittsburgh than Haley or big Ben. Don't be ridiculous.

You don't get it.

The GM, the QB, and (yes shocker here for you I know) the HEAD COACH all failed. They all did a substandard job. One got canned the other two are following suit here in the near future.

Romeo has followed it up with an abortion of his own. You don't get beaten like a rented mule as often as Todd did and keep your job. Not a ****ing chance on any team in this league.

Is it possible that Pioli, Haley, and Cassel suck?

I still think of both Weis and Crennel as solid coordinators. I'm not sure either guy should be a head coach but they both have a pretty solid record of success coordinating. Multiple teams, personnel, etc... they both still had success. It's probably not a coincidence this team had the most success with both of them.

A gm can be saved by horrible personnel decisions if he has an elite qb and makes a good head coach hire. See Indy. A head coach in this league cannot win without an elite qb and, if not an elite qb, anything short of an elite supporting cast. There are few exceptions to this rule.

I wanted to see what Haley could do with an average qb, let Alone a great one. To say otherwise is a complete contradiction to the huge focus we spent all year shitting on pioli for the cassel decision.

How many times did Matt cassel score more than 20 points.

Interesting.

When the defense gives up 30 points in green bay, it becomes a shootout . When it happens in kc, it's the defenses fault and it's a blowout.

but again. Let's dodge the fact that we had a shitty qb and blame the head coach for not scoring 30 points behind cassel.

It's possible. I've never said Haley is a great coach.

I'm saying pioli crippled him with average talent that was coached up to play to their potential. I'm saying cassel crippled Haley from doing things he could have done with average qb play.

We know pioli sucks. No fault but his own. We know cassel sucks. No fault but his own. We know a gm and a qb are critical to a teams success. Isn't it only fair to ask what a coach could do if not for a shitty gm and shitty qb?

So if we hire chip Kelly or cowher or gruden, and you keep cassel as your starter, bring no new free agents in, oh... And cut Charles, winston, moeaki, and berry...
you believe this is a super bowl team?
