$500 is a lot of money to me, but even if it wasn't, I would still rather watch it on tv. When I was a kid there was nothing better than going to a Chiefs game on a cold Sunday morning. Even in my shitty section 110 under the row of televisions where you couldn't see a thing, it was fun. Last game I went to people were complaining about the people in front of them standing up on a defensive 3rd down. The atmosphere just isn't the same. Or I'm not perceiving it the same. I haven't been up there in 2 years. Probably won't go this year either.

The parking and getting to the game sucks balls. Why hasn't KC invested in a shuttle service to Truman Sports Complex? If I didn't have to pay through my teeth for parking, I would be more likely to come.
Econ 101 would say lower ticket prices, but that would require the NFL to swallow their pride. |

As an addendum, especially for people who aren't local - for two people to attend a game you're probably at or above the cost of a whole season of Sunday Ticket.

The NFL Is Seriously Concerned With Empty Stadiums
7+ hour drive to the game, hotel, meals, fuel, tickets, parking all for what? Probably a $1200 + weekend.
Now if Mahomes is playing. The value would be considered. Whom and I kidding. Still wouldn't go. The home experience beats the stadium experience every day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Take the announced attendance at both the Rams and Chargers games.
The Rams claimed that 56,000 tickets were 'distributed'. The Chargers claimed that 25,000 attended their game. These numbers are a complete joke, as both places were about half road fans and the Rams game doesn't appear to have been near halfway full, but let's just take them at their word and say that 81,000 people attended an NFL game in Los Angeles yesterday. The LA Metro area is over 12 million people, so this would be the equivalent of the attendance in Kansas City (~2 million) being, what? 12,000? |

The Rams, on the other hand, had enormous crowds last year during preseason and broke an NFL record with nearly 90,000 in attendance. But the team sucked, so people stopped going during the course of the regular season but until they put a consistent winner on the field, they're going to struggle with filling the stadium. There are much better ways to spend a Sunday than sitting in a 95 year old stadium watching a bad football team. |

Making up for years of being in St. Louis where they didn't have a lot to charge for parking?
