I just saw Buster Keaton's movie "The General" this weekend. It's a silent movie, but I swear to you, it's still funny and entertaining. I was shocked at how well it aged. It's still a good movie today.

Got to see that on the big screen with live organ score when they reopened KC's downtown cinema house.

Saw Chaplin's The Kid (and The Idle Class) at the StL orchestra.

Years ago I saw a double feature of Nosferatu and Metropolis with a live orchestra at the Englewood in Independence. Maybe the No. 1 movie experience of my life. Also saw Psycho and Raiders of the Lost Ark at that theater.

Somebody should probably make a thread about Chick Flicks (love stories, relationship movies, blah blah blah, whatever) that are worth watching. I would put Eternal Sunshine on there. More if I gave it some thought.

The word hate doesn't begin to capture my feelings for that movie. It's a story about a three day weekend, as I recall, and it felt like the movie lasted at least ten. I remember watching and watching and watching and watching and watching and watching....and then the FIRST DAY ended, and I was like "OH MY GOD, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Sorry bout that, I watched my two favorite actors fall madly in love with one another and then got destroyed at the end of it... no Hollywood ending to be sure.

As far as serial killer movies go, Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer was probably the creepiest one to me.

I tried to watch a Star Wars movie with my wife for the fist time in my life a weekend ago, when Spike TV was running some sort of marathon.

It was the one with Jaba and Forest of Endor shit. I made it about 45 minutes before I fell asleep. I could understand the nostalgia if you grew up watching the stuff, but it was just cheesy as shit to me and didn't hold my attention.
