I like Easterling's work. He seems to be knowledgeable of our team. Premise: Jermaine Kearse and Lance Kendrick are signed per Shun's mocks. Also add in that we get a 3rd rd comp per Shun's mocks, so who is available and not listed that you would take with said pick? Easterling has Sambrailo, Algholor and Rollins to us in this mock. Not bad. Who are your picks? |

1st round - (WR) Jaleen Strong Arizona State 6'3" 215. A BIG TALL WR is what this teams needs so bad. Would prefer Kevin White or Sammy Coats, but I don't think they will be around when we pick. Strong is a not a bad 2nd choice at all. The top 4 or 5 WR could be as good or better than last years, but it drops off a cliff after that. The Chiefs have to use the 1st round on one of the top 4 WR in this draft.
2nd round - (G) Vadal Alexander LSU 6'6" 340. How bad was our interior line play. I know Fisher was complained about a lot on Chiefs Planet, but I think some of his problems was caused by his teamates who lined up next to him McGlynn/Linkenback. These two guys were horrible. Val Alexander is a road grader and is athletic enough to be effective in pass protection. A huge upgrade from what we put out there in 2014. 3rd round - (CB) D'Joun Smith Florida Atlantic 5'11" 190. Fast and athletic. Skills to be a cover corner. 3rd round - Compensatory pick. - (S) Durell Eskridge Syracuse 6'3". Tall defenders are a big advantage in the NFL today, and he comes with nice athleticism and quickness. He can play both FS & SS, so if we get Berry back our safety play should improve dramatically. Add another serviceable OL, ILB, and CB in free agency and they might just scratch out a playoff spot in 2015. |

Quote:
The fact he has Coats going in the 3rd round is a total joke. Barring he gets in drug trouble or has a significant injury between now and the draft his name will be called in the first round. Strong will also be called before the 2nd round. The Chiefs should be the one calling one of these two names in round one. |
