I'm mainly an SMG user so: (UMP45 or PP90M1 w/ Rapid Fire & Silencer)

Slight of Hand Pro (I have the bad habit of reloading after every kill)
Hardline Pro (on smaller maps when not using a silencer) OR Assassin Pro (on mid-large size maps where I'm flanking, it takes 2 measly kills for a UAV ---- Sorry, but that isn't going to work on me.)
Dead Silence Pro (I don't have good headphones to soundwhore people, so you don't get to soundwhore me!)



If I'm running Specialist I will go with:
Slight of Hand Pro
Hardline Pro
Dead Silence Pro
+1 = Assassin Pro
+3 = Scavenger Pro
+5 = Marathon Pro

Slight of Hand = faster reload
Hardline = something to do with killstreak?
SitRep = ....can't remember what that one does..

Hardline makes killstreak rewards require 1 less kill. Hardline Pro makes each 2 assists count as a kill towards your killstreak.

Dead Silence Pro makes it so you are silent when running around, and you do not take any fall damage. You would not believe how many people can hear your footsteps while you are running around and use that as a radar to come hunt you down, expecially if they are using turtlebeach headphones.



All perks are useful for something; it just depends on your play style and what game type.
Blastshield is great for sitting on flags during domination.
Marksman is great for sniping.
and so on...

Sleight of Hand is a must in the first tier.

Assassin probably in the second tier, but if you don't want to be a bitch use Hardline or Quick Draw.

Steady Aim or Stalker in the third tier. Stalker Pro lets you run right past enemy Claymores. I LOVE Steady Aim Pro because I am constantly sprinting and the pro version of Steady Aim lets you bring your gun up faster after sprinting.

If you don't have a headset it is pretty worthless to use Dead Silence or Sit Rep Pro.

I wouldn't really recommend wearing Dead Silence in any team games besides Search and Destroy. It is really hard to hear peoples footsteps in team games because of all the noise going on. (Teammates footsteps, gunshots, constant explosions, killstreaks, etc)

You should defintely wear Dead Silence in Free for All if you suspect someone has a nice headset. Surround sound headsets are extremely deadly in Free for All because of how quiet that game mode is.

Yeah you can still hear people in 6 vs 6 games but if there is a chopper in the air or they are running on grass it is pretty hard to hear footsteps, even with Sit Rep Pro.

If you are within 30 feet of me in Free for All I know exactly where you are, soundwhoring in 6vs6 TDM or Kill Confirmed is not like that at all.

I cant even imagine how good I would be if I used a headset. I can already hear people 10 ft away through my Tv speakers so I think I could be pretty beastly with a headset.

Also...hardcore is the worst game mode ever. Its just the biggest campout ever. People set up their tents and get out their marshmallows and get to work. I was literally the only person on either team running around.

God that ****ing game mode pisses me off.
