why in the world would Brees go to a stinky team like new orleans?

now admittedly a large part of new orleans problem was the QB position ... brooks was a wreck.... but Brees is taking a huge risk.

If I were the Aints I'd take tha Brick, even though Super Mario would be a solid pick as well. You really can't go wrong w/ either one. Do the Jets now try and move from 4 to 2 to get Leinart? The saints could still get Super Mario or the Brick if that happened.

San Diego's GM isn't going to overpay for anybody anyway... he's a real hardhead. I could see him and Brees just not finding an agreement. Look at the Gates situation... they suspended him for the first game because he didn't agree to a contract on time. No other team would do that.
