Yep - I saw the window as well. I'll be curious to see if we have holes in the wall/dents in the elevator. Regardless, it's fortunate that no one else was hurt.

Yeah, I'll be looking for those, too. They said the poor guy died of multiple gunshot wounds, so we may see more than one.

I have a Chinese restaurant that is a 10 minute walk from my office and consider myself lucky. I only go once or twice a week. If it was in my building I'd eat there every single day.

Other than the occasional gunfight, this place is actually pretty decent, too. The odd thing is that they serve both Chinese and sushi, which is usually a warning to stay away. But they do both pretty well. Hopefully the murder won't impact their business too much.

The shooting was at 3:37pm. A coworker of mine walked out of the building at 3:45 to see fire trucks arriving, but didn't notice the broken glass. Either 1) Rain Man and I are both imagining seeing the same thing, 2) he's completely unobservant and didn't notice the broken glass nor the guy dying through the glass, or 3) there is something else that happened that broke the window. Weird day.

Denver police are investigating an afternoon shooting at a downtown restaurant.

One man was taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds, according to police spokesman Sonny Jackson. The victim was said to be in "grave" condition.

Police are searching for the gunman, described as a 5-foot, 10-inch Indian or Asian male.

Police said there was an altercation between the victim and a group at around 3:30 p.m. at Chop Sticks & Sushi, 1630 Welton St., just off the busy 16th Street Mall.

Then a man in the group opened fire.

You guys are down on the 16th St. mall? Cool, I may have to come down and hang out one of these afternoons.
