Do I trust Andy to get the most out of whatever QB we have? Sure. He's proven he can do that. But more importantly I want to give him the most talented QB available so Andy can maximize that penitential into a SB... Not maximize some 2nd or 3rd rounder into say the 15th best QB in the league.

WHAT is the worst thing that can happen if we draft Geno with our #1 pick? That our QB sucks and we finish with 2 wins? Shit we've already done that, so what's the big deal? It's time this FRANCHISE takes a chance, builds around their own drafted QB, and at least TRY to do what most successful teams do. This re-tread BS has not worked worth a shit for the Chiefs. Time to do it ourselves, and with the #1 overall pick.

Not playing in the Senior Bowl and not throwing anywhere but private workouts for teams indicates to me, that Smith's agent/advisors are hearing he doesn't NEED to do that to raise his stock.

Either:
1) His agent/advisors are off base and making a big mistake
2) His agent/advisors know something the average "Expert" doesn't when it comes to Geno's stock amongst NFL scouting departments and teams.

I'd put my money on option 2.
