Bla bla bla, he's a playmaker, he has two touchdowns already, whatever.

He has seven catches for 93 yards. 1/3 of that yardage came on one play. At least two of those are screen passes I believe.

That ****ing sucks.

This guy needs to be a threat as a WIDE RECEIVER. He hasnt made a single play down the field. I'm not even talking 20 yards. How about 10? How about coming off the line, putting your foot in the ground, getting open and giving Cassel a target?

I'm not willing to accept the idea that Cassel is so god awful he makes all our wide receivers look terrible.

McCluster hasn't done shit yet. And he was utter garbage in Indy.

When I made your bet I had altered my expectations. As it is I came close to winning. He barely made it to 10 a game.

The other bet was made before the season, when McCluster was floundering down the list for touches as he is now.

McCluster wasn't a gimmick in 2011. He played snaps at RB because they needed him--he was the only speed option the Chiefs had in the backfield. Sure, when they got him on the field, they had the flexibility to use him as a receiver. But it's not like you were putting him on the field at the expense of a better player.

Next year, the only way he gets on the field is to take good players off. There are a few plays where he genuinely needs to take a guy's spot because of injury or because your top 2 RBs are gassed. Otherwise, it's hard to imagine a play where you take an important player off unless you're trying to force some kind of a gimmick on the offense.

Yup. And to me, it's not so much an issue of can he. It's a question of "will the Chiefs let him?"

No way. Charles is too valuable to the team. I can maybe see them upping his carries in the postseason, if they get there. But I'd be shocked if he got very much over 250. At the absolute most.

The Chiefs are undoubtedly going to bring in a thumper. I would not be surprised at all if that guy was Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis.

Charles is most effective when another back softens up the D.
He should average around 15 touches a game.
250 touches is more than enough for Charles
225 carries @ 5-6+ yards a pop was and is the best way to use him.

Its not so much on Crennel. Daboll sounds like he has full control of the offense and Reggie Bush only touched the ball 259 times on a team with far less talent on offense than the Chiefs.
