The big difference between downloading music/movies and creating rosters is that creating rosters requires a game.

Nobody wants to make that game. There's too much risk and not enough reward.

Here's what I'm thinking since it's already January and the game will most likely come out around the same time as the show I don't see it being a brand new game. My thinking is maybe they reached a deal with 2k to buy that game engine and they are going to make some small changes to it. Pretty much what 2k did last year give a roster update and release it as a game. This announcement is coming even about a week later then last year. So I don't think that it's going to be much right now but I agree it's good to have anther option. I'll keep watching for news on it. I'm intrested in seeing what comes out of this

I agree. It will be a 19.95 download. Didn't Sony say they are the only one producing a baseball sim this year?

Now that I think about it, I don't think we will see a baseball sim for the Xbox for a long time. It's honestly just not worth the money for developers.

My guess is that you're right. But I'll keep an eye on it you never know it could turn out ok. But being this close to release I think we are just going to have a repeat of last year for xbox mlb games.

So I was debating for awhile to which new game I wanted to purchase. Kinda wanted LEGO Marvel Superheroes but at the same time, I know after I beat it, I'll never touch it again and I wanted something that would last me...so I picked up 2k14. needless to say, I didn't expect to get this because the only sports game I play is Madden or the occasional NHL series. Now the game looks amazing and runs smooth, maybe it's just me, maybe I'm not the biggest basketball fan but I'm not impressed at all and I'm actually quite depressed and unsatisfied with the purchase. Game play feels identical to the old gen and while that's not a bad thing, it's not a good thing either. I mean, the only other options for me to get were Marvel, Need for speed or killzone. I played it for an hour and a couple online matches and felt like I wasn't enjoying it, I was forcing myself to like it. Feels the same as 2k13. I know I'll have to play more of the my player but idk so far nothings blown me away on the PS4...

i have AC4, BF4, cod ghosts, madden and now 2K14. if there's any suggestions of another game to get, let me know. I'm the type of person who likes to collect games but I just feel like 2k is going to collect dust as I have no one to play with and I don't like basketball all that much..

keep in mind i played all the 2ks on the last gen so i'm not a 2k hater, i just don't see the hype around it..
