I saw an article a while back that talked about an incident in a bar involving Hernandez. The article went on to say that Tebow was present during the incident. I would suspect if so, that was an eye opening experience for Tebow.

I watched the short video on cnn of the verdict announcement, and Hernandez was remarkably calm. I would've probably been sobbing, whether I did it or not.

But it got me thinking about what must go through a person's mind at that moment, especially for a guy like Hernandez who had the world by the horns for so long. He had $5 million in the bank and was a minor celebrity, and now he's literally going to spend 50+ years in prison and then die. I can't even fathom how a person comes to grips with that.

Even aside from the practicalities of incarceration, it makes me think that what you said is a harsher punishment than death.

How in the hell do you rationalize that behavior? He lived a life everybody dreams of. And wasted it for What? He perceived someone disrespected him? Is respect worth a lifetime in prison?
