Changing from write only...
My old LG phone had a memory chip. I used a Scandisk Micro-SD, no problems. My new LG phone uses the same Micro-SD chip yet when I try to put files on it it says write only protected use different disc or undo write only protected. I have looked under properties but there is no option on changing write only to read only or any change for that matter. I can't seem to locate the attribute location. I have thought of purchasing another Micro chip but I think there must be a way to use the old chip. Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated. I have not resorted to dipping the chip in ant-freeze, yet.

You might need to format the SD card with the new phone.

1st are you doing this on a computer with an adapter if so I would first make sure the adapter is not locked with the little switch on the side, secondly I would make sure I am not trying to copy to the root of the SD card, but rather a folder within the root.

Another tragic case of human error, the switch was indeed locked.
