My votes:
Dove Candy Bar over Hershey's Kisses (Regular). Kisses are a great concept, but dark chocolate generally trumps milk chocolate. I'll go Dove. Clark Bar over Reese's Nutrageous. This is a 50/50 deal since I've never had either one. On this particular day, I think I'm feeling more experimental, so I'll go with the Clark Bar that I understand less. Caramello over Whatchamacallit. Caramello is awesome. It's hard to pick anything over Caramello, much less a complete unknown. Caramello with the easy win. 100 Grand Bar over Milk Duds. These are actually somewhat similar, but i like the crispies in the 100 Grand Bar, and I feel like it's less likely to pull out a filling. 100 Grand gets my vote.

Dove
Clark Whatchamacallit Okay, so I know in the last round that I hated Skittles losing to Snickers and said that it would be a tough choice if they were pitted against the 100 Grand. Well, I'm not really sure how I spaced on my favorite candy EVAR. It was tough to vote against but Milk Duds wins out over 100 Grand. |

I know that I voted against it, but I will not be disappointed if 100 Grand beats Milk Duds. I actually think the tougher call would have been Milk Duds v. Skittles. Depends on if I'm in the mood for chocolate or fruit. That would have been a 50/50. 100 Grand is definitely my favorite candy bar, tough.

Isn't the Clark bar a crappier version of a Butterfinger? Nutrageous should be killing it.

Misophonia and Milk Duds are the real reason movie theaters get shot up.

Dove by a mile. Dark chocolate is better, but even milk chocolate dove is better than Kiss.
Never had either Clark or Nutrageous, but the Clark looks better. Damn you. I'll go Whatchamacallit, but damn it. Caramellos are great. 100 Grand, easy. |

Anyone voting for Clark over Nutrageous has never had a Nutrageous. It has Reeses peanut butter, caramel and peanuts covered in chocolate. Quote:

Nothing against Reese's Nutrageous, but today I'm leaning toward the Clark Bar.

Interesting Milk Duds factoids...
http://www.oldtimecandy.com/walk-the...sle/milk-duds/ In 1928, Milton J. Holloway took over F. Hoffman & Company of Chicago, the original manufacturer of Milk Duds chocolate covered caramels. The Milk Duds name came about because the original idea was to have a perfectly round piece. Since this was found to be impossible, the word "duds" was used. The word "milk" was used to reflect the large amount of milk in the product. http://mentalfloss.com/article/69785...ot-their-names In 1926, F. Hoffman & Company of Chicago set out to make perfectly round chocolate-covered caramels. The manufacturing equipment didn’t quite cooperate, however, and what came out were oval-shaped candies. A worker pronounced them “duds,” but everyone agreed they still tasted good, so the company kept producing them under the playful name. Two years later, the Holloway Company bought out Hoffman and brought Milk Duds to the masses. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk_Duds The Hershey Company, in 2008, changed the ingredients of some of its products, in order to replace the relatively expensive cocoa butter with cheaper oil substitutes. This was done to retain a current product price, rather than having to raise prices in the marketplace for products containing cocoa butter. Hershey's changed the description of the product and altered the packaging slightly along with the ingredients. According to United States Food and Drug Administration food labeling laws, these modified recipes that do not contain cocoa butter can not be legally described as candy coated in milk chocolate and described as "chocolate candy" or "chocolate coating." |
