Sometimes to have to take that timeout. If your defense is disorganized or not set, you can risk it. What if Carr snapped with 1 second left and found a receiver wide open due to busted coverage?

Can't rely on the other team to make mistakes: you have to ensure that your own team is sound. Sutton was right to call a timeout if he felt the defense was not properly prepared for the play
