Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.

A few quick ground rules:
  • No Spoilers!!!!! for upcoming episodes.
  • Larger Song of Ice and Fire discussion should be limited to the other thread although I think a tiny bit of book delving to fill in holes should be okay (example of this would be talking about Catelyn and her treatment of the wolves in the novel, which was alluded to on TV but never really made clear...)
  • Everything that happened that week is fair game once an episode airs. So if you don't watch on Sunday night, I'd stay outta here until you do...

I don't really see it as being loyal to them. That would be hard to determine since we don't really know the relationship he had with them.

But he does have his spies over there seeing all the power Dany is amassing with dragons, soldiers, etc. Whether he truly is just all about the good of the realm or if he is wanting to preserve himself, getting the information about Dany he has been getting might persuade him to want to set himself up to be her ally.

3 episodes into season three, it just keeps getting better... Dany has "bought" her 8000 man army and the dragons are growing.

Jaime Lannister has lost his sword hand and will presumably be home soon, albeit a VERY changed man in some ways I'd bet, maybe not as bloodthirsty?

Also, I wonder what the growing affection between him and Brienne of Tarth will bring? Even if they don't become lovers, their friendship is bound to complicate things... a few more episodes tonight should help clear that up for me.
