Andy Reid started declining in Philly for two main reasons. First, he has been in the job forever and it wears down on you. Second, the league has caught up with his system. His offensive line cannot protect with the amount of passing they do. He doesn't have his dependable DC anymore to make the adjustments on D. I can see no upside to hiring a tired, beat down shell of a coach.

It doesn't just wear them down. Coaches tend to develop tunnel vision over time, especially if they have frequent success.

This is very similar to what I've been saying except I like Alex Smith better. I think the 7th QB in this draft has as good a chance as the top ones.
