I'm still not convinced the Chiefs have turned the corner. I guess I just don't trust this team. A win against the Chargers could change my mind, a little.

A night game at Arrowhead in December vs a west coast team.
I like it.

In the end I think its our secondary vs. Rivers. If he gets to sit back and wait for Allen and Williams to do their thing than I don't see us keeping them under 27. |

I hope it continues. I personally went to 2 games at the Meadowlands expecting him to dominate some weak tackles. I'm a little jaded.

One of my favorite things is seeing Rivers when he gets frustrated. Here is to seeing it again this Saturday night!

Let me just say.... and maybe this is just the homer in me coming out, but I believe that if the Chiefs can get an impressive victory on Saturday night, they again should be considered contenders. Hear me out.
Look at the AFC. I said before the season opener that we had a chance to beat New England because they lacked talent in their front 7 severely. That remains true. In fact, it is even more true with some of their better linebackers and DL out now. It is extremely difficult for any team to go to back-to-back Super Bowls. That defense is filled with JAGs, and even though the Chiefs' defense hasn't played well always... it hasn't been for a lack of talent. Pittsburgh is as vulnerable as they have been in awhile on defense. Shazier is their Eric Berry in terms of in-game impact. It showed with their lousy performance at home against a mediocre at best Baltimore offense. Their offense is a load still, though. They are really good, not unbeatable. A couple of days ago in the ESPN Playoff Machine thread I picked the Chargers to get hot and go to the Super Bowl. After yesterday, the Chiefs have at least made me believe they might be able to be that team. They still have to prove more to us on Saturday, though. Continue to play good football in all three phases and beat a red hot Chargers team, and all of the sudden the Chiefs are the hot team again. With two more to boot against Miami and Denver, they could add onto their momentum heading for January. Can't wait to be there Saturday night... gonna try to give Philip hell yet again at Arrowhead. |

Chargers haven't really beat anyone, but also Rivers has the potential to throw for 300 yards and 3 TDs every week. I haven't followed the Chiefs that much. I think that they should be favored by more than 1 at home.
