the NFL isn't a body of work...the quicker people realize this the better. Just because someone was great 5 years ago doesn't mean a new guy can't come along and be better.

Just because Kaepernick has only shown this for 9 games doesn't mean he can't be a top 5 QB next year. I don't get why people get confused with that logic.

The abilities Kaepernick and Wilson have shown this year especially down the stretch are things no other QB's can do...and it's going to revolutionize the game.

Hard to say, but they did win the Super Bowl. This place is the only place I've ever seen make so many excuses for winning a championship. And Manning didn't really play that great in the playoffs aside from the back half of the Patriots game... but they limped to the finish in the regular season. The team that should've went undefeated probably had a better performance overall. Could've gone 16-0 and won the Super Bowl if they didn't sit everyone and Manning didn't throw it to Tracy Porter.

Rams went 4-1-1 in the division this year. Fisher has the team built for divisional play. Time to take it to the next level.

Oh, and Arizona isn't that far off either. But with a change in defensive scheme, I wouldn't be surprised if they took a few more years to get back to mediocrity.

I don't like the people who try and say Manning didn't play good in that Bears Super Bowl.

He controlled the entire game...had the ball for 40 minutes...came back from down 10 AND was playing against the 3rd best defense of the last 20 years.

He played poorly against the Chiefs in a game that was never in doubt and also played very lackluster in the 2nd round...

but he led two comebacks against the Pats down 18 and the Bears (once in a decade defense) and the only reason people want to say "his defense won it for him" is because it's Peyton Manning and everyone hates Peyton Manning.

Since the end result is winning it all, then yes. Debatable on what team had more talent. Another example where it takes more than talent to win a SB.

not saying it's impossible, but come on

I'd hate to be in a divsion with those two guys at QB

their ceilings are higher than anyone else in the NFL...it's disgusting

if they are clicking, they can't be stopped. They are too good and too versatile. No defense for that.

the 49ers are clearly the better team but I'd never imagine the Pats being blown out in the Super Bowl

Once in a decade defense? In the same decade as the 2000 Ravens and 2002 Bucs? Or any of the Steelers defenses? No way. He didn't play terrible in the Super Bowl, but during their playoff run he finished with 3 TD and 7 INT in the playoffs. They ran for like 200 yards in the Super Bowl against that defense.
