I know DT had a lot of kids. The man that died with him Michael Tellis had children. Tellis had a daughter in KC that is one of the hardest working women I've met, went to school while holding down 2, sometimes 3 jobs while not having a car and having to ride the bus. She could have definately used the help, so this must be new.

Wouldn't have helped that lady unless she was a dependent of DT for some reason. As I understand it, Tellis was just an unfortunate friend riding along with DT.

Yeah the whole thing with DT was more tragic becaue he was a HOFer, a legend, and was drafted high and stayed in KC his whole career.

I understand the dependent thing, just wierd how being older at the time of a parents death can sometimes be harder to deal with, losing the person that actually raised you, than being a baby and not ever knowing them. Both are horrible.

Has there been anything said about the possibility of paternity being questioned? I heard a rumor that JB had recently discovered the baby was not his but have not seen or read anyone speculate or report about this.

That money is going to bring about an ugly custody battle. Everyone is gonna want that little girl now that she comes with a free ride for the rest of her life.

I read somewhere in the 50 Belcher threads that he asked Pioli if him and Hunt would make sure his little girl was taken care of, before killing himself.

I doubt Pioli explained to him that the rules of the CBA already have this addressed, so I wonder about that, or if they are doing anything extra?

I just think there should be more done to speak out and help prevent both domestic abuse and mental illness, depression etc, as this is nothing new in the NFL or everyday life for some people dealing with it in every city.

Every tragedy needs something positive to help prevent it from happening again.
For instance, after DT died there was a big thing about wearing seatbelts, and I know it made me think about it and make sure everyone I knew was aware how it could save a life.

It would be a real positive if our team could take the lead in trying to fix this problem.

I am glad the little girl is taken care of, and wish all kids thrust into that type a situation could be taken care of as well.
