Just throwing this out there...

I can't fathom the number of things that always seem to happen with the Chiefs and from a fan's perspective, I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through.

It's like an endless cycle of the same stuff and I know it's maddening. I'm not posting this to be an ass or as some veiled attempt to talk smack. I realize that Denver isn't doing anything special this year unless they turn things around on offense. And, I sincerely long for the days when the AFCW is a beast again - overall with all teams playing well.

You guys have had an amazingly weird season and things got really bad this week. Injuries suck and losing guys like Charles are hard to overcome. It's like the franchise takes two big steps forward in the offseason and then three steps back.

So, just saying that I'm not going to get too involved with any commentary because you guys are tearing your worlds apart with all the talk around players, coaches, next year... there's no need in trying to pee in the pool at this point.

I hope things turn around, you'd like to think that Reid has an idea as to what his plan is and how to overcome it. Maybe it's time to blow it up again, but hell, that seems crazy.

You guys are a great fan base and you deserve to sit on top for a while, I do hope that happens soon. Sucks to be at this point so early in the season. Tex and others will flame away with the mule tool rhetoric and that's fine.

It's this type of thinking that has allowed to continually sell the bullshit method of approaching the QB position this team has used since striking out on Todd Blackledge.

Chiefs fans need to dump the mindset that it is too risky to take a QB in the first round/high in the first round, and realize that it is too risky to NOT take a QB in the first round/high in the first round at least occasionally.

Especially since the CBA was reworked, and guys stopped getting Sam Bradford contracts.

I feel ya brother, but these mother****ers seem to both strike-out on which year they blow (so they can have a few to pick from in the draft), then blowing that #1/high draft pick on a ****er loser fat kid who can't play.

So, if Hunt wasn't a ****, he'd target the right year in the college draft and convince his subordinates to position themselves properly to acquire one of the "NFL system" college QBs elite.

Which means that we'll win a few meaningless games and get the 12th pick. All the good QB's will be gone and we'll settle for the best available fatty, because chiefs....

Back in spring of '97 several of the big box electronic stores were offering up RCA satellite dishes for I think $99. You automatically received the Sunday Ticket when buying.
So, I installed the dish & we've been paying for the Ticket since we moved in back in 1997.

My wife said we were set up for this year until I went to watch game #2 & no dice.

Guess you could say I'm disappointed in that I didn't keep up during the preseason since that was the only time there was any winning football.

I lucked out in that I didn't renew ST for the 1st time this year. Instead I decided to give streaming a shot. Don't know what all's included. I know I'm getting all the college games too so that's a bonus.

Only thing I really miss is the Red Zone.

I've been streaming for years, In the early days, there were times I gave in and went to the bar because of the shit streams, but they are getting better. Now I can find a decent stream pretty quickly, it's not high def, but it get's the job done. You can stream red zone too

What if you don't ever draft QB's high like the Chiefs? You are pretty much stuck with the Alex Smith and Cassel's of the world. What a stupid mentality. Instead of drafting a QB, let's draft another bum like FORD or FISHER.

I guess I don't think anything that happens this year can surpass the SB loss vs SEA as an epic letdown. I'm not expecting anything grand this year, quite honestly.
Try having Squirmin Herman mother****ing sack of **** Edwards shred your team and drive it to embarrassment. Then have Scott Franchise Killer Pioli piss and shit all over its grave. The cumulative effect of that is far worse than getting crushed in a Super Bowl.

As for those saying the Donks have kharma coming, get get ****ing real. This is the real world kids. Cheaters win. Assholes get ahead. Hard work does not beat talent. Feel good stories don't come true.

As someone who's a life long Chiefs fan who has also lived in the Denver area for years, the differences in the franchises start at the top, and go all the way down to the fans.

One main difference at the top is that when the Donkeys make a mistake at HC and/or GM, a la Josh McDaniels, they fire him halfway through his 2nd season. CHunt would never do anything like that, he doesn't have the stones, and his dad was the same way for the most part (see Carl Peterson). As Chiefs fans, we have to live with our (never-ending) mistakes for 3 or 4 years, minimum. So those of us who are bright enough to have figured out that Andy Reid couldn't win a championship with the modern-day equivalent of the 93 Cowboys roster, let alone the stiffs the Chiefs run out there annually, know that we're doomed to see the same thing-or worse-for at least another season and a half.

The difference in the fanbases is that donkey fans simply wouldn't put up with this shit. You're just too spoiled at this point. Donkey fans view success in terms of Super Bowl CHAMPIONSHIPS, Chiefs fans view success as making it through a season without one of our players killing himself in our stadium parking lot. Chiefs fans are just as passionate, we've just been beaten senseless for so long, we're ****ing numb to it. We're like zombies. We expect complete disaster at all times. Being a Chiefs fan is like being a heroin addict, it eventually steals your soul.
