not necessarily, you arent even factoring the impact that Alex Smith has. Alex Smith, at least for this year, will outplay the 34th pick in the draft. So the value that you gave up, to what you get, will be less. Meaning the Chiefs won.

Dont you think?

Considering I'm already writing off the Alex Smith years, no I don't think he makes any of this smell better. If he doesn't lift his game significantly above where he has played in the past, I hope he busts so we can move on sooner. The closest thing we've had to more than a stop gap at QB in 40 years is Trent Green. You have no idea what that is like. NO IDEA.

Yeah, your reply shows who the "fool" is dick eater.....

Alex Smith is an upgrade to any qb you have had since Trent Green. Hes not as good as trent, but hes much better than any other option this offseason, and will be more valuable to the chiefs this year, than the 34th pick. Soooooo Get ****ed sally sensitive.

I love this argument.

"Alex is better than anything the Chiefs have and have had since..."

Big ****ing deal!

Alex Smith is going to lead this team to a mediocre .500 season. That means jack ****ing shit. He's 29 and injury prone. He's not anywhere near the top of the QBs in the league so he's not going to be bringing any silverware to KC.

He's useless to this team now. He's useless to this teams future. He's been useless since 2005.

**** no he wont. Alex will look like cassel here. His only hope is taking the game out of his hand.
Charles will need to go off. Defense will need to look like 49ers.

There is a reason why his stats are similar to cassels, they are both not starting caliber qbs. You should not have to have amazing supporting cast to put up those numbers.

Only thing good about alex is we did not extend him.
