Watch the video. Dude's just shopping for pet food, swinging a BB gun, and minding his own business. Then, BAM.

Apparently the Dayton PD trains their officers to murder people.

Surveillance video from Crawford's shooting—previously unavailable to the public—shows Crawford walking around the store while talking on the phone, with the BB gun at his side or on his shoulder. The disturbing video then shows an officer rushing toward Crawford with his gun drawn before shooting him.

Though the special grand jury reportedly considered charging the officers with murder, reckless homicide, or negligent homicide, WHIO reports the jury ultimately decided not to indict the officers involved in the shooting, finding their actions were justified.

Vince Pope, attorney for the officers involved in the shooting, released a statement following the decision:

"I believe the grand jury's decision, it's absolutely the right decision, that the officers acted well within their training."

Derrick Foward, president of the Dayton Unit NAACP, also released a statement:

"The Special Grand Jury in Greene County made the wrong decision. It's a sad day in the history of Dayton."

Foward added the NAACP will call for a complete investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Hey, he's a big guy so they may fear for their life if he CHARGES the cop....OK, my sarcasm for Ferguson is still high because it's just more of the same bullshit thaf continues to happen as people are starting to see. I have long since said this is a serious problem. When civilians are getting off as well as the cops, wouldn't you be concerned too?

God I love this post. It's honest. Completely honest. I felt the same way man, and I guarantee you that nobody would seriously tell you that I'm a racist. Far, far, from it. Farther than most. It's not racist, it's life experience and the ignorance (not in a bad way) to what is happening in other places. I'm glad you've opened your eyes and have been willing to critically think about this situation because I agree with you 100%.

I think there is a HUGE racial element too it, but you're right. EVERYONE is at risk these days, and as long as there are no ****ing repercussions, these assholes won't change anything. The first time you see a series of cops going to pound you in the ass prison over these scenarios, the problem will begin fixing itself immediately.

The problem is we have evolved into such a selfish society, that if it doesn't affect us personally, we don't give a shit. And until that begins to change, or at least enough fear sets in that it could very well be us at any given time, nothing else is going to change. In any facet.

It's been reality for as long as I can remember but I don't walk around with a chip on my shoulder about it. You just learn how to deal with it but people are getting bold again.....trying to take it back.....and I am concerned about it.
