Yes They Were Home Games...but We Still Beat Both Superbowl Teams

Just Sayin

Stange little meaningless fact but just figured I'd throw it out there. The team has flashed signs. I think the 3rd year under Reid/Dorsey will be a charm. Hopefully Berry is healthy, Houston stays and others injured are back....oh and Manning decides to retire. That would be nice.

True, but on this day... it actually does bear repeating.

Those were two veeery impressive wins over the two conference champs/defending champ... did it make all of the other pukeworthy losses even harder to fathom?

YES.

But on the other hand, theres no way to spin it otherwise that this team is veeery close to being great... the Chiefs can beat ANYONE when they're on their game, that gives me hope, legit hope for the future.

Reid makes me want to gouge out my eyes with a melon baller sometimes, absolutely... but this team is close, so close. Cant wait to see this draft, it needs to be Dorseys masterpiece.

During the past 20 years or so the Chiefs have a knack for beating some amazingly good teams in the regular season at Arrowhead… Patriots and Seahawks this year, Green Bay in 2011 (that got Romeo the permanent HC job), the Rams in 2000, Denver in 1997, the 49ers in 1997, Green Bay in 1996, the 49ers in 1994 just to name a few.

All of this of course meant nothing for the Chiefs long term prospects in the playoffs.

Your right. The Chiefs problems for decades has been failing to win the games that matter the most.

These wins mean jack.

Both teams were in a stretch of inconsistent and poor play when the Chiefs played them.

The Chiefs on their best day can not beat the best teams when they are playing at, or simply near their best.

Thinking that those wins mean anything is sheer stupidity.

Good teams don't lose 3 games in a row during the critical late November/early December crunch time. Then lose critical games to mediocre teams in late Decemeber (Pittsburgh)

As I said, it's been a Chiefs problem for decades now.
