Mizzou-OSU Game Tomorrow Night

OSU says fans will be let in for free to pack the arena. From OSU Basketball Website:

STILLWATER - Due to potential weather-related issues, Oklahoma State is opening the doors to Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Fans will be allowed to attend Wednesday's men's basketball game against Missouri free of charge, the OSU Athletic Department announced today.

"Because of the inclement weather and obvious travel difficulties for our fans around the state, we decided to open the doors for anyone who would like to attend. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for a homecourt advantage against a quality Big 12 opponent," said associate athletic director Kevin Klintworth.

Those taking advantage of the free admission will be allowed to sit in the 300 level of the arena. All seats pre-purchased will continue to be reserved for ticket holders. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.

UPDATING: Mizzou Team Anticipates It Will Play

Missouri's men's basketball team - according to spokesman Dave Reiter - hopes to fly out of Kansas City Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and to play its game scheduled at Oklahoma State on Wednesday night.

"We're operating under the assumption that we'll play," Reiter said.

Three things have to happen for that to happen.

Clearance comes that it is safe to fly to and land at the Oklahoma City airport.

Clearance comes that it is safe to takeoff and fly from the Kansas City airport.

And assurance that the roads between Oklahoma City and Stillwater are safe, thus enabling the MU team to bus up to Oklahoma State in time for the 8 p.m. Wednesday tip at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Meanwhile, Laurence Bowers took part in some of Missouri's workout Tuesday at Park University in Kansas City North. He was not, however, full go.

MU Coach Mike Anderson has yet to announce if or if not Bowers - who suffered a mild concussion on Saturday against Texas - will be available for Missouri's scheduled game at Oklahoma State.

And it has not been Anderson's practice to provide full or necessarily revealing injury reports.

Likely Bowers' availability will be known just prior to tip off.

Will there be a tip off?

Well, Oklahoma postponed its game Tuesday night in Norman, but only to 2 p.m. on Wednesday. So, somebody thinks teams and referees can get to Norman in time for that game on Wednesday.

That indicates there is a belief that all necessary parties can get to Stillwater, Ok., in time for an MU-OSU game set to start six hours later.

Oklahoma State announced Tuesday that - because of the snow storm that is likely to hamper fans traveling to the game - any fans that do attend may do so free of charge.

In Columbia, meanwhile, the University of Missouri announced that, just as Tuesday, classes were cancelled on Wednesday.
