Is Brandon Albert proving some of the draftniks here right?
So far this season he has not looked very good. What do you think it is? Is he a LG and not a LT (like some draftniks here insisted)? Is he going through sophomore jinx? Is it the weight loss?

You know what? I think I'll make a poll about it.

He has been slower despite his weight loss. I think maybe he lost too much muscle and hasn't been able to get much punch at all. I had him graded out as a F the first game, but yes a HUGE dissapointment so far.

It's been one game against one of the league's most powerful 3-4 DLs.

One gaff does not take away a prior season's good production. I have no reason to not believe he's going to look much better the next game.

If he stumbles versus the Turds, maybe I'll rethink it. Until then, no.

BTW, who the hell are the "draftniks" who said he was a LG only? He's got all the tools to play LT MORE EFFECTIVELY than LG, and most draft guys around here saw that in him prior to the 2008 draft. The only people saying he couldn't play LT in this league were the people who didn't do research and said, "He was a LG in college, therefore it must be a stupid move to draft a guard in the first round and move him to LT."

New o-line coach, new blocking schemes, weakness in the center and on the right side hurts the whole line. It's going to be a work in progress for a while. He'll be fine in the end.
