As for the "are the Chiefs next" question...I wouldn't think it'd even be in the same ballpark. "Chief" is not an offensive word, and the football team's name actually came from Mayor H. Roe "The Chief" Bartle, who was instrumental in getting the team to move to KC.

Now, you could make an argument that the "tribal chant" and even "Arrowhead" could one day be in jeopardy, but I wouldn't think the name "Chiefs" will have any trouble sticking around.

I agree.

But I'm not a libtard.

If the "Redskins" term does get banned you can bet it's only the start.

That just seems silly. The word Chief has been in existence for centuries before anyone knew what "Native Americans" even are. Seems like more of a strawman you're going after here than anything based in reality.

Well true but if someone where to name an NFL team 'The Slaves' would there be a racist outcry? That term has been around in one form or another since the birth of man. Probably the only term that's been in common use longer would be whore.

An arrowhead is just a rock tied to the end of a stick. Who does this offend? The arrowhead has been around 64,000 years and originally derived in South Africa.

You can try to stop the fans from doing the Tomahawk Chop if you want, I don't think you'll be happy with the results but you are indeed entitled to try.

I don't know about you but if someone tells me I can't do the Tomahawk Chop when I want to during a game I paid for... **** em! Maybe the stadium would stop playing the chant and getting Rob Riggle to break a huge drum stick over a huge drum but I'd still do it and so would the rest of the stadium.

Chiefs were named after Roe Bartle, an obese and somewhat reeruned-looking white man, so I think we're good to go.

See I didn't even know that.

The Chiefs have an arrowhead on their helmet. Their stadium in Arrowhead.

Neither one of those two refer to an obese reeruned looking white man.

Hey I think the Redskins, Chiefs, all of that are bad ass and they should leave it all alone.

To me the whole Indian theme refers to them being warriors, what else could it mean?

Does this mean that if my ancestor was Gen. Custer I should be offended?

They should just leave all this shit alone.

I'm surprised the NFL hasn't spoken up yet.

How about the KC Meth heads?
You could have this guy on the side of your helmet:

He looks scarier than the honkys on the Raiders, Patriots or Bucs logos.
