Anyone Else Disappointed by the Flyby?

It used to be in the 90's when Arrowhead was rocking we would get a loud thundering flyby, but I thought yesterdays was just sad. I guess it is just the sign of the times and I should be grateful there is even a flyby, but I see other teams flyby like Green Bay and their Flyby with their Jets are awesome. It just set the tone for how the chiefs were going to play yesterday I guess.

I was more disappointed that the chick "singing" butchered the National Anthem.

This.

I heard her from the parking lot warming up and was mortified. Sadly enough, she actually did a better job during the real thing.

Hey fatty - nobody's here to listen to you 'stylize' the national anthem. Just get through it quickly so we can all yell "CHIEFS" and kick off. And try not to make Francis Scott Key roll in his grave if you can avoid it; I'm pretty sure he didn't have 5 different key changes in 'Free' when he wrote it.

That was as bad a performance as I think I've ever heard without someone forgetting a line or coughing up a hairball. She was just awful.

True.....on the topic (sort of) of being there early, any idea why they opened the gates at 8:00, rather than 8:30? I was sitting there as normal thinking we were doing the "move up 20 feet" thing we always seem to do about 8:00-8:15 or so and then realized they had opened the gates. I'm not complaining at all, it's just very odd for them to open early.

No - my group ends up getting in around 9, so I had no idea they had them open at 8.

Yep.

The best I've heard was the very talented young lady who sang live nationwide on ESPN for the NASCAR race in Daytona and also on WGN for the Cubs game a couple of months back.

And she's a local gal.

(hint - and she's in my avatar)

I thought yesterday's was pretty cool. I know it wasn't F-18s or Stealths (which I haven't seen in a long time) or even A-10s, but those Naval trainer jets are pretty badass and those guys were within pissing distance of each other.

At least it wasn't a !@#$ing helicopter or a re-fueling plane...

O-3 teams are going to get the hind tit. Worst announcers, etc.

The Green Bay fly by for an exhibition game was incredible, but they are SB champs.

I think it has more to do with Clark being Cheap. I am surprised he doesn't have a visor that comes down on the rest of the crowd so only Staduim Club Members see the flyby

The stadium looked full yesterday from my TV, was it?

I just don't buy into the being cheap part yet, 100%.

But he is running it like a business, no doubt about that.

He has a pretty small body of work, but they did put in their share of the stadium renovations.

He bought what he thought was the best GM out there, and paid him well. He ate several contracts, but on the other hand, he is well below the cap.

There might have been a couple of free agents that would have helped, but I am not sure. This year was kind of ****ed up in that regard.

I need to see more, before I declare him cheap.

No doubt that you should google "Fly Bys" and I think your opinion will be swayed.

It wasn't full, but it was better than I thought it would be.

That said, there were probably 15K Vikings fans there. I've never seen that many opposing fans, especially for a non-conference game.

Take away the Vikings fans and it would've been pretty ugly.

What did he have for a fly by yesterday? I have seen several, and they usually give me goose bumps?

15k is a LOT, holy crap, I didn't notice that much. I was looking for some SFL banners, but didn't see any.

I just have to say though, Bowe is getting to be amazing. I honestly think he is the best WR this team has ever had. No disrespect to any of the old timers, but I really mean that. If Cassel was even average, it would be something.
