Anyone Else Disappointed by the Flyby?

It used to be in the 90's when Arrowhead was rocking we would get a loud thundering flyby, but I thought yesterdays was just sad. I guess it is just the sign of the times and I should be grateful there is even a flyby, but I see other teams flyby like Green Bay and their Flyby with their Jets are awesome. It just set the tone for how the chiefs were going to play yesterday I guess.

Arrowhead had been pretty lucky. We've seen a wide variety of aircraft, from Stealth Bombers and Stealth fighters, to Apache and Blackhawk helecopters, to Warthogs, to trainer jets and F-16's. Since Whiteman and Forbes Fields are both close, we've gotten some cool flyovers. The B-2 Bomber is by far the coolest. You can imagine why Hadji in Iraq would poop his pants seeing that bad boy headed his way...

Thanks for clearing that up, I was wondering how a private enterprise could be paying our military for those services. But I was assuming the poster knew what he was talking about.

Isn't it a 'fly over' as opposed to a 'fly by?'

I'm pretty sure by next year they'll be petitioning the local remote control airplane enthusiasts with a free coors light to do the flyby.

The Vikings always bring a bunch of fans to Arrowhead. Same with Twinkie fans at the K. Just wait until the Packer fans invade.

Perhaps it's time that the Chiefs forego the "flyby" and go with the "tunnelunder" by hiring some trained moles to dig their way under the stadium just prior to kickoff. We can strap tiny, little cameras to their heads so that those in attendance can see all the action.

The best flyovers I have ever seen and heard are these babys, F4 Phantoms. They shook the foundation of the stadium.

My question is how the **** do the pilots get into the stadium by the 3rd quarter? They land at MCI or something?

Hey fatty - nobody's here to listen to you 'stylize' the national anthem. Just get through it quickly so we can all yell "CHIEFS" and kick off. And try not to make Francis Scott Key roll in his grave if you can avoid it; I'm pretty sure he didn't have 5 different key changes in 'Free' when he wrote it.

That was as bad a performance as I think I've ever heard without someone forgetting a line or coughing up a hairball. She was just awful.

Yep.

The best I've heard was the very talented young lady who sang live nationwide on ESPN for the NASCAR race in Daytona and also on WGN for the Cubs game a couple of months back.

And she's a local gal.

(hint - and she's in my avatar)
