That's it for Tony G. Hate to see it, but he's going out on top, no slip in his game at all. Best TE ever. Get out before you take one too many blows to the head, or get your ACL shredded. I don't recall him ever having a really bad injury, which is pretty rare. He's a class act, he's bound to wind up in broadcasting if that's what he wants. He seems like a natural for it. At least he got a playoff win.

I still can't believe we blew a ****ing 28 point lead in 2nd half.

In any case, he is a first ballot HOF'er and can easily be the best TE in NFL history. Certainly the best when talking about playing at a high level over time. Dude can STILL ball better than all but a handful of TE's. He is 2nd ALL TIME in receptions, only behind Rice, and he's not even a WR, and THAT says something.

I remember watching the '96 draft and Dallas being all set to draft him when KC traded to jump ahead of Dallas to draft him. Its the best draft move that King Carl ever made. KC gets T.G. and Dallas had to settle for a TE named David LaFlour. David WHO??? Exactly! LOL!

Gonzalez was the biggest douche of any player we have had when it comes to his interactions with the fans.

He could be 10 feet away from a 5 year old screaming his name and holding out something for him to sign and all Tony would do was wave and keep walking.

Great player, though.

It's been a long time, I'm not sure it makes sense for him to do that now. One, maybe two years, might make sense, but he's a Falcon (by choice), so I think they've earned it

He left after 2008 - that's five years. He's a Falcon. Let them have their HOF'r. Much like the Royals, this team needs to focus on getting players to want to stay instead of have "good" reasons to leave. Fix that problem, then worry about how they go into the HoF.

That was more like his sophomore year – that he got a bad case of the dropsies.

I tend to give players with a lot of promise a break on their sophomore slump because of that. I think Rice had a lot of problems his sophomore year too.
