So? Junior Hemingway....

Seems like the guy is quite the buzz on the twitter updates from the guys out watching training camp....

Just curious on what people's impressions are on the guy? Good or Bad- as I didn't follow him at all in Michigan, and he was rather under the radar as our 7th rounder & practice squad guy last year if I'm not mistaken?

Discuss...

Up in Michigan you can find several locations that fit the bill of a Clean Well Lighted Place. Kansas City isn't an arctic clime, certainly, but in the winter the precipitation rivals that of the Snows of Kilimanjaro.

Good size. They said he was already not rounding off his routes anymore.
Two days ago Reid stopped the entire practice just to coach him up.

Lets hope.

He is 6' 1" 225
There are a lot of WR's in this league that are 6'0" or shorter.
Yeah, he is a notch below Bowe and Baldwin but if he has the passion to be a great WR and works at it... His body size will not hold him back. He is plenty big enough.

hemingway is actually really good. but at michigan he didn't really have a throwing QB. robinson tried. he improved a little in the passing game, but he just wasn't a good throwing QB and his receivers suffered for it.
this guy is gonna be very interesting to watch.
wonder how he'll be in a few years.

Hemingway looked good in camp last year, or so I thought. Jamar Newsome also showed some promise in last year's camp...but like it was mentioned about, Baldwin looked incredible and that didn't pan out. Can't say much about this year, too many irons in the fire to sneak away to watch.

I wasn't intending that to come across as a negative. Basically I was just mentioning that when you look at him, he looks like a running back. He's not a small guy at all. I think it's actually a good thing, he's really solidly built.

I think I mentioned that he's deceptively fast. He's a 4.5 guy that, at least in college, played like he had 4.4 speed, on the rare occasions where he had well-thrown passes to work with and an avenue to accelerate away from the defense. He made some insane catches (he had to with Denard Robinson throwing to him...), and as others have mentioned he was good in traffic and blocked well. The only thing I would wonder about is his route running, but it's more of a "they ran a shitty system, he had a shitty QB that should've been a HB, and I think he probably had shitty coaching" than a "dude can't run routes" comment.

This vid shows him off pretty well:

I almost think of him like he's the anti-Dex.

Damn, he has a great sense of spacial awareness. If he can get any kind of separation, then he should be productive. Just remember that Hines Ward couldn't outrun the mascot. I'm hoping hard for this guy. I love players who have great vision.

Hah, very end of the video has a bottom line about Reid returning to the Eagles for his 14th season. Couple years later and now Reid is coaching him up in TC.
