That's the point. Elways first choice is to sign another teams retread, not draft and develop. That would be a bit more understandable if you were in the late teens, but you're at #5.

They HAVE to draft a QB...or be ****ed for years. They are ****ed for years regardless though...I want them to sell the farm for Cousins. He can battle it out with Carr on whose more over-paid while both finishing 8-8.

I view 'retreads' to be guys like Keenum, Bradford, Hoyer... they've bounced around, have maybe had 1-2 good seasons. Cousins doesn't fit that description.

Brees? No thanks - too much $ and too old, if they had the SB or Bust Window they had in 2011/2012 when they did that with Manning - maybe. That's not the situation now.

What does the first round have to do with anything? Hill, Hunt, and Kelce were all drafted in later rounds.
