Um...back - to - back season sweeps would suggest beyond any doubt that the CHIEFS are better. I'd imagine that even Raida Fan would be hard pressed to disagree...

Besides the Sweep Sweep, I would just add that our Offense and special teams beats the Faids. Both defenses suck.

The Chiefs are the better team. They won both games this year and are two games better in the standings. That's the end of the argument. That said...
On Offense - Kansas City has - and has had for 4 or 5 years now - arguably the best offensive line in the league. While the Raiders do have developing talent, it remains that Kansas City's talent is already developed and guys like Roaf, Waters, and Shields have established themselves as some of the best in the game (or, in Shields' case, among the best of all time). The expression "it all starts up front" didn't become cliche for no reason. - Running game. This ties in directly with the offensive line... but the fact is that whether it is Priest, Blaylock, or Johnson, the Chiefs have been getting it done on the ground. Oakland, meanwhile, is the worst rushing team in the NFL. - Tight End. While Raider fans get excited when Courtney Anderson or Teyo Johnson show "flashes" the fact remains that the Chiefs have the best TE in the NFL. Put it this way: On Saturday, Teyo Johnson had 3 receptions for 52 yards and Raider fans thought it was great. If Gonzalez had put up those exact same numbers, Chiefs fans would have been disappointed. That's how big the freakin' gap is. - Established system. Although it'll piss some Chief fans off to hear it, I look at Trent Green the same way I looked at Rich Gannon: Right quarterback for the system. Neither are great talents... but both are talented enough, smart enough, and experienced enough to use what they have to great effect. Green and his receivers (who are nothing to write home about) know where they need to be, when they need to be there, and have a great rapport going with each other. On the other side, it seems like every single week Kerry Collins is saying, "Well, I'm feeling more comfortable now..." which means, basically, that he's learning on the fly. That's to be expected, of course, as he's in his first year in this system... but the fact remains that Green's mastery of KC's system gives them an advantage. On Defense I'm not going to get in depth here. I'm just going to call it a push, since both units really suck. Naturally, this can all change over the course of the off-season, depending on draft picks, free agent signings, player development, and who the hell knows what else... but that's how I see it for the time being. |

Really, I was having a hard time figuring that out. Have fun getting a human booster shot from a guy named Molly when you get sent to prison Raider fan.
