LNBS: So many question marks on this team

This upcoming season has a plethora of things up in the air that can swing the fate of this franchises 2014 season in a huge way.

Will Kelces knee hold up and allow him to play a big role?
Will Alex Smith build on his 2013 second half, or regress as the defenses he faces get better?
Can AJ Jenkins take a starting role?...or the slot role?
Will Sanders Commings be healthy and earn the starting free safety spot?
Will Eric Fisher be the upgrade Dorsey and most scouts thinks he will be, or will he fall flat on his face again?
Did they make a mistake letting Asamoah, Albert and Schwartz go, or will Watkins and others fill the spots and play well?
Can Dee Ford provide an instant upgrade to the pass rush?
Will Bowe return to #1 receiver form?
Can Knile Davis stay healthy and provide some punch?
Can DAT provide the offense big play ability, or will he be similar to DMC?
Will Avery become dependable as a deep threat?
Can Demetrius Harris be the next basketball to tight end weapon?
Can Jamaal Charles stay healthy?
Will Brandon Flowers return to form?
Can Don Stephenson lock down the RT spot and keep the pressure off Alex?
Will Phillip Gaines be able to contribute immediately, or will he take time to develop?
Can either of the rookie OL play if needed?
Will the showing the backups put out there against SD in the finale show our depth can play, or that it was just a one game fluke?
Can Nico Johnson and Mike Catapano give us anything in the limited roles they will play?

It's really a crazy season coming up because its almost like getting 2 draft classes infused into the team because of last years class having so many injuries.

I can see this team winning anything between 6 and 12 games and its really hard to take a firm stance either way because of so many question marks for the upcoming season.

What's the word on Demetrius Harris? I haven't really heard a thing about him in a long time.

some questions are already answered for us, for example:

Will Joe Mays be a liability and get picked apart by Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Phillip Rivers with quick passes and hurry up offenses? Yes.

Will Dontari Poe be run into the ground because our DC is a bumbling idiot that doesn't rotate our line and always gets caught with his pants down against hurry up offenses? Yes.

You're welcome

Will Kelces knee hold up Yes and allow him to play a big role Doubtful.?
Will Alex Smith build on his 2013 second half, or regress as the defenses he faces get better He'll regress into boring Alex Smith like he was with the 49ers?
Can AJ Jenkins take a starting role? No...or the slot role? No
Will Sanders Commings be healthy and earn the starting free safety spot? No. I don't trust him to stay healthy, and Abdullah is better than people think
Will Eric Fisher be the upgrade Dorsey and most scouts thinks he will be, or will he fall flat on his face again? He'll probably be a downgrade from Albert
Did they make a mistake letting Asamoah, Albert and Schwartz go, or will Watkins and others fill the spots and play well? I like the new guys we have starting. We'll be fine
Can Dee Ford provide an instant upgrade to the pass rush?Yes
Will Bowe return to #1 receiver form? Yes
Can Knile Davis stay healthy and provide some punch? Yes
Can DAT provide the offense big play ability, or will he be similar to DMC? As a rookie he's going to go full DMC. Never go full DMC
Will Avery become dependable as a deep threat? He'll be an option. Dependable? No.
Can Demetrius Harris be the next basketball to tight end weapon? Extremely doubtful.
Can Jamaal Charles stay healthy? He stayed healthy last year, so I don't see why not this year
Will Brandon Flowers return to form? He'll improve, but I see Cooper, Parker, and perhaps even Gaines outplaying him
Can Don Stephenson lock down the RT spot and keep the pressure off Alex? Sure
Will Phillip Gaines be able to contribute immediately, or will he take time to develop? There's no reason to think that he can't contribute in various nickel and dime situations
Can either of the rookie OL play if needed? The coaching staff claims Fulton is NFL ready
Will the showing the backups put out there against SD in the finale show our depth can play, or that it was just a one game fluke? Depends on which player you're asking about
Can Nico Johnson and Mike Catapano give us anything in the limited roles they will play? Catapano is a possibility. I'm not holding my breath for Nico

I doubt Mays plays much against those teams because he will only be on the field in base defense...those teams like to spread it out and in those nickel and dime sets, Mays is a cheerleader.

I agree that Sutton needs to rotate his DL in 2014. The backups showed they could play against SD.

This is going to be a tough season, no big additions and losing several players can screw up the binding we had as a team. Except losing Lewis.

We didn't lose anybody that was irreplaceable.

I understand, but we lost the chemistry between the players.

Not really. The only guy that we lost that offered any real leadership ability was Brandon Albert. I can see your team chemistry thought playing into the OL early in the season, but other tan that, I don't see where we didn't upgrade.

Going from Jackson to Walker is an upgrade in today's NFL.
Deter was a good weapon, but wasnt anything really special. Thomas has the burner speed to go along with shiftiness and elusiveness that Dexter dreams about while bursting another pair of shoes.
Going from Lewis to Abdullah/Commings is a definite upgrade while not losing chemistry.
Going from Dunta Robinson to Phillip Gaines and Chris Owens is a definite upgrade.

Exactly, we didn't play base D 70% of the time last year.

If I had to guess I'd say it's that the poster asking the question really never adds anything substantive and pretty much just has a shitty negative reply to most Chief's related threads. Often derailing or killing the topic originally put forth in the thread. Kinda like this for example.
